Accutane side effects
Most medications these days come with a range of side effects, some of which can be quite mild and others more serious. Accutane, which is a form of vitamin A, also comes with a range of different side effects, which those considering taking the drug need to consider in order to make a more informed choice about which medication is right for them.
Accutane is a medication that is used for the treatment of severe nodular acne. It is often used by those that have already tried a number of other medications and treatments for their acne but have had little or no success with them. It is, of course, important to bear in mind that people will react differently to different drugs, which means that whilst some people may experience a number of the side effects that are linked to Accutane others may not experience any of them.
Some of the milder side effects that can stem from taking Accutane include:
- Back pain
- Joint pain
- Drowsiness
- Dizzy spells
- Dryness of the mouth
- Dry skin
- Cracking or peeling of skin
- Itching or rashes
There are some serious side effects that need to be considered as well, which include:
- Hearing problems or ringing in the ears
- Depression or aggression
- Sleep problems
- Nervousness
- Psychological problems
- Blurred vision
- Numbness of one side of the body
- Loss of appetite
- Stomach pains
- Blistering of the skin
- Loss of appetite
- Seizures
There are many restrictions with regards to this medication, which means that it will not be suitable for everyone to take.
